Scene Synopsis - SATURDAY MORNING

GRAB:
Sylvie is at home on a Saturday morning with a face mask, foils in her hair and toe nails mid-painting when Andrew, who is on crutches and wrapped in bandages, knocks on her door looking for Steve, her flatmate.

SYNOPSIS:
Sylvie has been dumped by her latest boyfriend, and is on the phone planning a Girls' Day with her friend, Carrie. Sylvie has her head wrapped in a towel, underneath which is a head of foils; she's got a white face mask on her face; she has cotton wool between her toes as she paints them.

Andrew knocks at her door. He's just come back from overseas and is looking for Steve, Sylvie's absent flatmate. Andrew has a black eye; he's on crutches with one foot off the ground; he has both a leg and his head bandaged.

When she opens the door to reproach him for insulting her taste in music, they're tragic mirror images of each other. However they immediately enjoy each other's banter including his embarrassing tale of the accident which led to his current physical state.

Andrew tells her he's back from overseas and has lost Steve's phone number but knew where he lived and asks for a phone number. But of course, Sylvie invites him in to wait for Steve's return.
