GRAB:
Hannah has arranged a surprise party for her boyfriend, Aidan, a serviceman coming home from a tour of duty. But when he arrives, it's obvious he has been badly affected by his time at war.
SYNOPSIS:
Hannah has been eagerly waiting for Aidan to come home from an overseas tour of duty, and she's arranged for a surprise party. When there's a knock at the door she thinks it's her father, but it's Aidan in his army uniform, home early.
She's surprised and excited, but when Aidan realises there's a party planned, he panics. He heads straight for a drink - or two. She's a bit shocked, but thinks he's just tired from the long trip home, and suggests she rings everyone and postpones the party.
Aidan tries to go along with everything, but it becomes more and more evident something's wrong. Hannah knows what it is, and confronts him - he found someone else "over there".
Aidan tells her nothing could be further from the truth - coming home to her is what's kept him sane. She forces him to tell her what's wrong, and although it's difficult, he tells her he has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and has even tried to commit suicide.
Hannah rings her mother, instructs her to cancel the party, and sits down with Aidan to listen, and assure him she'll be there for him. But it's obvious they have a long road ahead of them.
