SYNOPSIS:
Stuart and Penny's aged mother is suffering from dementia and lives in a nursing home. Stuart has had a call from the home to say there's no money coming in to pay for her. When he checked with the bank, he found that $100,000 has been taken out of the account, and the signature is Penny's.
He goes to the family home, where Penny is still living, rent-free, and confronts her angrily about the money. She tries everything to deny taking the money and she also tries to convince Stuart she's been visiting their mother at the home, which he knows to be a lie too.
He forces Penny to reveal the truth, that she's withdrawn the missing money, but believes her mother would want her to have it. Stuart refuses to accept her attempts to justify her actions, or her promises to pay it back.
